Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer famous for his distinctive blend of soul gospel jazz R&B as well as R&B. From Broadway to European clubs and festivals, Sunshine has performed across the globe. Sunshine is the daughter of Denise White. Although she is based in Atlanta however, her ancestors are in Chester Pennsylvania. There she initially began her journey as an artist by playing the piano and singing in the church. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on the Atlanta's R&B culture. First song featuring her voice was called Stalk You which was a song from Japan's house 12 song. Since then, it has been remixed and is included in her set. Her voice is also included on the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. Her role was as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy and Tony Award winning vocalist who was part of the stage production Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007 approached her to be the choir leader of the stage production. Sunshine was the subject of national media attention during four daily performances at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was then invited to sing at President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009.
