She was a singer, performer and designer and broke the boundaries of the industry of music. She was both traditional and modern a Mexican-American superstar who connected both worlds in a singular way--and brought excellent Tejano music to the mainstream audience. Her name was rising to fame and her tragic passing broke the promise.
