Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born in Winona Minnesota. Her name was chosen by her parents for the town where she grew in. His father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's mother and father are both Jewish. Ryder believes herself to be Jewish. Uria is Ryder's younger sister. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are Ryder's half-siblings. Ryder's family relocated from Mendocino County to California at the age of seven years old. They didn't have electricity. Ryder was a prolific reader because of the lack of television. Ryder began taking classes in acting at American Conservatory Theatre when she turned 12 years old. At the age of 15years old, Ryder was offered her first part on the screen in Lucas. Ryder faced bullying in high school. Ryder hoped her career as an actress would bring about change. It didn't turn out. But she pushed on with her dream. Beetlejuice, a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her debut big break. Ryder was a star in various films. She was nominated for two Academy Awards one for her performance in The Age of Innocence (1993).
